Starting on Thursday 20 June at 19:00, and for all the days until the feast of Saints Peter and Paul, the novena in honour of St. Peter will take place in St. Peter's Basilica, with a sermon by Don Fabio Rosini.
The novena will focus on the apostle Peter and will follow the various evangelical stages of his transfiguration from Simon son of John, fisherman of Galilee, to Kefa, that is Peter, apostle of Christ. His journey becomes a paradigm of that change of nature that every Christian receives in power in baptism and that he is called to undertake in his freedom.
The Gospel texts that will accompany the meditations are the highlights of this process that will make a Galilean fisherman into a fisher of men.
