Petrine Itineraries

Every Wednesday in June at 16.00, departing from the atrium of the Basilica, it is possible to participate in a spiritual itinerary following the footsteps of the apostle Peter, through the images and symbols present in some of the most significant places in the Vatican Basilica. Every Saturday in June at 21.00 it is possible to participate in the prayer of the “Via Petri”, a meditation on the life of the apostle along the wings of the colonnade in Saint Peter’s Square. During the prayer, the images of the twelve stations that retrace the life of Saint Peter, from his calling on Lake Tiberias to his martyrdom and burial on the Vatican hill, are projected from the maxi-screens in the square.

Blessing of objects

At the Sacristy of the Basilica, it is possible to ask one of the Canons of the Chapter of Saint Peter’s for holy water, as well as the blessing of sacred objects and mementos in the Basilica.
