Pilgrims and Prayers may use the “Prayer Route” entrance. It begins on Via di Porta Angelica and is marked with yellow signs; it is staffed 12 hours a day by personnel of the Fabbrica di San Pietro. Access to the Basilica takes place from the Vatican Grottoes, by entering the Welcome Area and following the signage and the instructions of the staff present on site.
