General Terms and Conditions of Sale and terms of use of the e-commerce platform for the online purchase of booking services for access to St Peter's Basilica and tickets granting access to the areas of historical and cultural interest of St Peter's Basilica: updated on 16 September 2026
Premise
The services published on the site and purchasable through the e-commerce platform accessible at booking.basilicasanpietro.va (hereinafter the “Site”) are governed by these general terms and conditions of sale and conditions of use of the platform (hereinafter, the “General Conditions”) and are offered by HIVE SRL (hereinafter also “HIVE”), as an exclusive professional.
The booking.basilicasanpietro.va website is intended for visitors ONLY : travel agencies and tour operators CANNOT purchase for purposes related to their professional activity and therefore for resale.
The user is strictly prohibited from reselling, in any capacity whatsoever, to third parties, whether natural or legal persons, the booking service for access to the Basilica and the tickets for access to the areas pertaining to the Basilica or any other service/product.
Each user will be able to make a limited number of purchases per day on this platform.
In order to prevent improper or circumvented use of this limitation, the platform reserves the right to prevent further purchase transactions, including by blocking any payment method found to have been used to make multiple purchases or otherwise in violation of these terms of use.
Any resale of services on the e-commerce platform to third parties by travel agencies and tour operators who improperly use the platform reserved for end users, if discovered during access controls, will invalidate the tickets for the purchased services/products. Use of these tickets will therefore be prohibited, and the user who paid the agency will not be entitled to any refund from the platform. The burden of refunding any amounts paid by the user lies with the party who improperly used the platform. booking.basilicasanpietro.va.
USERS ARE THEREFORE INVITED TO MAKE PURCHASES VIA THE OFFICIAL PLATFORM OR THROUGH THE AGENCIES THAT ARE REGISTERED ON THE B2B PORTAL.
Improper use of the Site and the services offered therein (including, but not limited to: purchase of services and/or tickets with names that do not correspond to those of the actual users, improper use of fares, purchase of services and/or tickets by travel agencies/tour operators on the platform dedicated to consumer use) may result in the cancellation (even on site) of the ticket for the services/products purchased, resulting in the inability to use them, without any right to a refund.
The user declares to be fully aware of the contents of this document in its entirety and expressly accepts the terms and conditions of use of the platform.
HIVE reserves the right to integrate and/or modify the General Conditions and to publish them at any time on the Site.
HIVE operates both as an intermediary in the sale of services and/or packages offered by other suppliers/organizers, and as an organizer in its own right, in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
HIVE's liability is governed by the provisions set out below.
HIVE, through the website booking.basilicasanpietro.va, provides the User with a proposal for booking services for entry to the Basilica in exchange for the payment of a fee for the service offered.

Definitions:
Digital Audio Guides: A digital application containing audio historical and cultural information about a tourist itinerary. The application can be consulted in multiple languages and accessed via a link and/or QR code opened on the consumer's personal cell phone/tablet and/or the cell phone/tablet of each person included in the booking. The devices will be independently connected to the internet by the consumer via GSM or Wi-Fi; data traffic and internet access are therefore not included in the Digital Audio Guide. The audio guide is included in the reservation for admission to the Basilica. The reservation for admission to the Basilica with an audio guide is also included in the purchase of the ticket for admission to the Dome, the ticket for admission to the Treasury Museum, and the ticket for admission to the Necropolis.
Ticket: tickets that constitute the entrance ticket for visits to the historical and cultural sites of the Basilica managed by the Fabbrica di San Pietro (Dome, Necropolis, etc.).
Cart: services or packages selected by the User after carrying out one or more searches on the Site.
Unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances: a situation beyond the control of the party invoking such a situation and the consequences of which could not have been avoided even if all reasonable measures had been taken.
Circumstances dictated by liturgical needs: circumstances arising from decisions taken by the Holy See and the Holy Father regarding extraordinary liturgical celebrations, including during the Jubilee Year, which result in the cancellation of access to the Basilica's areas of historical and cultural interest and of reservations for visits to St. Peter's Basilica.
Consumer: the person who acts, by entering into a contract, for purposes outside of his or her own entrepreneurial, commercial, artisanal or professional activity.
Customer service: free assistance service provided during working days and hours and provided to Visitors and Users of the Site (also referred to as Visitor Assistance or Need Help?)
Authentication Credentials: email and password used by the User to access the Site.
Minor: a person under the age of 18 who does not have the capacity to act and independently enter into contracts and other legally valid transactions.
Reservation: purchase order placed via the Site.
Basilica access reservation: This service can be made online, via the Website, for access to St. Peter's Basilica at a specific time and day (the reservation is combined with the digital audio guide). Private visitors can make online reservations via the Website for 1 to 15 people to access St. Peter's Basilica at a time and day of their choosing, subject to availability (online reservations made via booking.basilicasanpietro.va are always combined with the digital audio guide). Please note that during private visits, no visitors will be permitted inside the Basilica to explain a particular artistic representation or monument aloud to other visitors accompanying them.
Services: are the booking service for access to the Basilica and the areas of historical and cultural interest of St. Peter's Basilica and any other ancillary services/products available on the Site.

Summary (page): this is the page with the summary of the services added to the cart selected by the User. It includes the total price of the services, the payment method (deposit and balance or balance) and the payment terms.
Durable medium: any instrument that allows the visitor to store information addressed to him personally in a way that allows future access to it for a period of time adequate for the purposes for which it is intended and that allows the unchanged reproduction of the information stored.
User: consumer registered on the Site who enters into a contract for services/tickets.
Visitor: any consumer not registered on the Site.
1. USER OBLIGATIONS
To benefit from the online hospitality services available on the platform, intended for pilgrims and visitors, Users must register on the site. Accessing the Site constitutes acceptance of all the terms and conditions governing its use, particularly those set forth below. Users acknowledge that the reservation and purchase of products and services made through the Site will be governed by these general conditions of sale.
The User guarantees the truthfulness, accuracy, and timeliness of the information provided by him/her in his/her name and on behalf of all beneficiaries of the services booked on the Site, for whom he/she is the representative, to whom these general conditions of sale apply in their entirety. It is the User's responsibility to verify that the information entered is correct and, if necessary, to amend it before completing the booking. The names and surnames of the participants must match those shown on their identity documents and required for travel.
HIVE cannot be held liable in any way if the information provided by the User at the time of registration and/or ordering (name, postal address, email, telephone number, and any other data requested by the respective suppliers/providers to allow the online booking to be completed, etc.) is false or incorrect.
The User agrees to maintain the confidentiality of his/her login credentials and not to disclose them to third parties in any way, and to prevent unauthorized third parties from accessing them. The User assumes responsibility for any damages and any financial consequences resulting from the use of this Site with his/her password or from the use of the User's passwords by third parties. HIVE reserves the right to refuse any booking requests from a registered User at any time if it appears that the User or third parties are using the Site fraudulently.
2. GENERAL CONDITIONS OF SALE
These general conditions of sale govern (“General Conditions”) the sale of the services offered in the electronic catalogue operated by HIVE and available on the Site.
The General Terms and Conditions constitute a binding agreement between HIVE and the User who uses the Site to book and purchase the Services listed therein. Resale of individual services/products purchased on the booking.basilicasanpietro.va Site is PROHIBITED .
The User is also subject to the specific conditions applicable to individual Services, including the date of use of the service, the price, the applicable pricing rule, and the category associated with the pricing rule.
Use of the Site, reservations and purchase of Services are subject to acceptance of these General Conditions by the User.
The User is therefore required to read and expressly and fully accept the General Conditions, including the specific unfair terms and conditions pursuant to Article 1341 of the Italian Civil Code, and any special conditions applicable to individual Services, by checking the appropriate box or clicking the constantly updated hyperlink provided for this purpose and made available online on the Site. Failure to accept the General Conditions and/or the unfair terms and conditions and/or any special conditions applicable to individual Services and packages will make it technically impossible to confirm the booking and purchase such Services/packages.
By using this Site, you acknowledge that HIVE's registered office is in Italy, and that all transactions are governed exclusively by Italian law. You acknowledge that the availability of content in languages other than Italian is intended solely for ease of understanding and does not constitute a solicitation or offer intended for foreign jurisdictions.
The General Conditions may be modified at any time, without notice, without prejudice to the fact that such changes will not apply to orders placed by the User prior to the modification. Therefore, the User is required to carefully read the current text of the General Conditions before booking and purchasing Services or packages on this Site by clicking on the hyperlink available before starting any search.
The User acknowledges and accepts that HIVE reserves the right to refuse to provide services in any jurisdiction where it believes that local law may impose obligations that are incompatible with these General Conditions, or that may alter the economic conditions of the offer.
3. REGISTRATION ON THE SITE
Use of the site is intended for persons of legal age. By accepting the terms of sale, the user declares that he or she is at least 18 years of age, has the legal capacity to be bound by these General Terms and Conditions of Sale, and is therefore capable of understanding their terms and fully accepts them.
The reference regulatory sources are Legislative Decree no. 70 of 9 April 2003, which transposes into Italian law Directive 2000/31/EC "on certain legal aspects of information society services, in particular electronic commerce, in the internal market" and Legislative Decree no. 206 of 6 September 2005 - Consumer Code.
The User can freely browse the Site and, in order to make purchases on the Site or save their searches as travel ideas, they are required to register first by completing the form accessible through the Site's home page, by clicking on the register icon, with their personal data.
All data will be processed in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/679. Full information is available upon registration on the Site.
The User will also be asked to enter their email address and a secret password. Upon registration, the User will receive a welcome email at the email address provided during registration, confirming that the account has been activated and including the user's email address, confirming successful registration. The User undertakes to diligently not disclose or transfer the login credentials to their personal area to third parties and to keep them confidential.
The email address and password will act as authentication credentials ("Authentication Credentials") to access all the features permitted to a User of the Site.
After registering, before proceeding with the purchase at the checkout stage, the User will be asked to accept the General Terms and Conditions by clicking on them, as well as to review and approve, by clicking separately, the specific unfair terms and conditions pursuant to Article 1341 of the Italian Civil Code. Upon acceptance and specific approval of these terms and conditions, they will be deemed valid and binding on the User, who will be able to proceed with the purchase.
The User represents and warrants that all personal data and information provided during the registration process is current, complete, truthful, and accurate. The User agrees to promptly update any changes to their registration information on the Site.
The User will be solely responsible for their Authentication Credentials, both for their storage and use. If the User becomes aware of any unauthorized use of their Authentication Credentials and/or any breach of password confidentiality, they must promptly notify the Data Controller and Site operator (HIVE Srl, via Conti 7 - 42020 San Polo d'Enza (RE), email help@basilicasanpietro.va) in writing.
All operations carried out using the Authentication Credentials are considered to have been carried out by the registered User to whom the Authentication Credentials refer.
HIVE reserves the right, at its discretion and at any time, to:
• terminate the contract with the User in the event of improper use of the Site or use contrary to the general conditions;
• refuse registration or cancel existing Authentication Credentials, with the simultaneous deletion of the profile, without this resulting in the obligation to communicate the reasons for such decisions or the right to compensation or reimbursement.
HIVE specifies, as provided for in the General Conditions, that:
• is not responsible for any damages, claims or losses, direct or indirect, incurred by the User due to the failure and/or defective functioning of the Site or of the electronic equipment of the Users themselves or of third parties (including Internet Service Providers);
• cannot be considered in breach of contract towards the User, nor liable for any damages in the event of impossibility to provide the electronic services related to the Site or in the event of impossibility to access the Site due to the malfunctioning of electronic means of communication for reasons beyond its sphere of control (such as, for example, unavailability of telephone connection lines or other network service providers, malfunctioning of the User's computers and other electronic devices, malfunctioning of software installed by the User, as well as actions of other users or other persons with access to the network);
• may suspend and disconnect the Site, permanently or temporarily, without being held liable towards the User;
• is not responsible for hyperlinks to websites managed by third parties other than HIVE, possibly contained on this Site, provided for information purposes only and the insertion by HIVE of hyperlinks to such websites does not imply any acceptance by HIVE of the material published on such websites or any other relationship between HIVE and their managers.
4. DURATION AND NATURE OF THE OFFER
The Service offers available on the Site are valid and purchasable for the time they are visible on the Site, and may vary in real time in terms of availability, price, and pricing. To confirm the cart selection, during the name entry phase, the system performs a further check of all selected services and informs the User of any changes in availability and/or price compared to what was previously displayed in the cart, before the User can proceed with the purchase.
HIVE attempts to provide a realistic view of the services offered through photos and illustrations provided by their respective suppliers. However, the photos and illustrations in the descriptions are purely illustrative, are provided by the suppliers of the services offered, and may not reflect the conditions of the facilities and services at the time of booking, as they are not constantly updated by the suppliers/providers. In any case, the aforementioned photos and illustrations do not bind HIVE except to the extent they indicate the category or level of services. Registered Users are referred to the photos and descriptions of the services published by the actual providers on their respective official websites. HIVE does not guarantee the accuracy of the software, products, information, and services published on its Site, as they may contain typographical errors, typing errors, or system inaccuracies. It is not responsible for inaccuracies in information relating to air, sea, or road transportation, accommodations, hotels, and other types of accommodation, and any other information, products, or services on the Site (such as, for example, video reproductions, photographs, etc.).
5. PRICES, TAXES AND CURRENCY
With reference to the single service or ticket, the price is understood to be the one indicated from time to time on the Site only if it corresponds to the result of a search carried out by the User, unless there is an obvious and recognizable pricing error.
The price of Services purchased on the Site may vary based on the period, number of participants, and services selected. The actual price depends on the Services actually purchased and confirmed.
The availability of the Services may also vary during the User's purchasing process.
Before proceeding with the purchase, the final screen, called "summary", relating to the purchase proposal indicates the total price of the services selected by the User.
It is therefore specified that the final offer, which constitutes the actual sale price, is made only after the User has completed the search and selection process, and more specifically, only after entering the names of the travelers, expressly accepting the general conditions, and making payment within the deadlines set and indicated on the Site. The booking is considered confirmed only after receiving the confirmation email, in accordance with the provisions of Article 8. It is essential that the User checks that confirmation of all booked services has been received, and only if they encounter any anomalies should they contact Customer Service (also referred to as Visitor Assistance or Need Help?).
The descriptions of the Services/Tickets shown on the Site specify the services included in the price and any special conditions applied to said Services.
All prices are expressed in Euros, or in another currency that HIVE will deem to use at its sole discretion and which will be expressly indicated in such case, and are inclusive of VAT, if applicable.
Unless otherwise indicated in the offer, prices do not include anything not specified among the inclusions of the purchased services.
6. ACCEPTANCE OF THE BOOKING
In order to conclude the contract for the sale of the Services, the User is required to:
• start one or more searches, starting from a service/product or using one of the search engines provided, filling in all the fields provided therein;
• start the search for ticket availability for the areas of historical and cultural interest of St. Peter's Basilica (Dome, Treasury Museum, Necropolis) or reservations only for access to St. Peter's Basilica with digital audio guide;
• select your choices from the available results which also show the price and, after registering, proceed to complete the booking by entering the names of the participants and any additional data where required which inhibits continued navigation on the Site;
• before confirming and proceeding with payment, take note, under your own responsibility, of possible price variations reported when entering names;
• click the relevant boxes, confirming that you have read and accepted these General Conditions, including the specific unfair terms and conditions. Acceptance of the terms and conditions of sale constitutes a final reservation, as it is an irrevocable offer, from which it is not possible to withdraw, except as provided in Article 16 and without prejudice to the application of the cancellation and modification rights provided;
• proceed, if requested, to payment, by clicking on the “pay” or similar button, of the non-refundable deposit or balance;
• proceed with the payment of the balance within the deadline as highlighted on the summary page;
• Any errors found after completing the order and any costs for correction will be entirely borne by the User, as HIVE assumes no responsibility for the User's manual entry of data during the booking process. HIVE is exempt from any liability for data voluntarily provided by the User, who undertakes to promptly inform HIVE of any changes to such data.
After clicking the "Pay" button on the Site, the user's request to book Services is considered irrevocable. Booking requests made independently on the Site are considered accepted and confirmed by HIVE upon receipt by the User of the booking confirmation for the Services, either directly online or by email. If the Services are available, confirmation will be sent by HIVE no later than 48 hours after payment is received. It is essential that the User checks to ensure they have received confirmation for all booked services (please always check your "junk" or "spam" folder). Only if they encounter any discrepancies, including partial confirmation of the selected services, should they contact Customer Service (also referred to as "Visitor Assistance" or "Need Help?") ("Purchase Process").
The User acknowledges and accepts that if the requested Services are marked "on demand" on the Site, due to the dynamic nature of pricing and availability of the Services, even within a very short timeframe, clicking to submit payment details will not initiate the actual purchase process but will instead send a request for a follow-up from the HIVE team. The HIVE team will notify the Customer via email of the availability of the requested Services, simultaneously providing a link through which the Customer can confirm their intention to proceed with the actual purchase, according to the methods described in the Purchase Process above.
7. PAYMENT AND BILLING
Payment for purchases made on the Site may be made by the User only on the Site via:
• Credit card or rechargeable prepaid card belonging to the circuits indicated on the payment page at the end of the booking process. To proceed with payment, the User is required to enter their credit card details, which will be processed in compliance with the provisions of Regulation (EU) No. 2016/679 and Legislative Decree 196/2003 as amended by Legislative Decree 101/2018. The data will not be collected by HIVE, but will be directly managed by the credit institution as the independent data controller. HIVE receives only transaction validation from the credit institution;
• PayPal account;
• other payment systems if available and indicated on the payment page at the end of the booking process.
At the end of the purchase, a booking confirmation email will be sent to the email address entered by the User when filling in the traveler data (please always check your "junk" or "spam" folder).
The User is solely responsible for the payment method chosen, which can only be among those offered by the Site.
In the event that, after completing the order, the User detects an error in the selected method, HIVE cannot be held responsible under any circumstances and will under no circumstances be obliged to partially or totally refund the amount paid;
The User guarantees that he/she is fully authorized to use the Credit Card or other payment method permitted by the Site that he/she is using for the purchase and that the chosen method gives access to sufficient funds to cover all costs necessary for each requested transaction;
It is not possible to make a single transaction using multiple payment methods. The authorization given to HIVE for payment of the reservation is irrevocable. Therefore, the User is not permitted to object to the payment except in the case of fraudulent use of the same by third parties. Outside of this limited circumstance governed by Italian law, objecting to the payment constitutes fraud against the credit card issuer.
The right to object to payment cannot replace the exclusion of the right to reconsider;
An invoice is issued upon request by selecting the appropriate box to receive an invoice in the customer information section of the booking form and entering all billing information before proceeding with payment. The invoice will be sent electronically to the User by the 15th of the month following payment. The invoice will be made out to the individual who made the purchase, i.e., the registered User. Please note that the name on the invoice cannot be changed after the purchase. The invoice amount indicates the total amount of the purchased package or experience/service and cannot be split or made out to multiple people.
Important: If a charge is made without a booking confirmation, the system will indicate "booking not confirmed" and the User will receive notification of the charge according to the payment method selected. The User is entitled to a full refund of the amount charged. The refund will be made within 15 business days using the same payment method used by the User. Customer Service (also referred to as Visitor Assistance or Need Help?) will contact the User for possible alternatives.
8. BOOKING/PURCHASE DOCUMENTS
Upon confirmation of the booking, the User receives a booking summary via email.
Once the balance has been paid, the booking documents can be downloaded independently from the Site in the User's personal area, in the form of electronic vouchers, for all participants included in the booking, or they will be sent via email to the email address provided by the User as soon as they are available and in any case not before the balance has been paid.
The User acknowledges that the tickets are available and accessible in the personal area of the Site and must therefore ensure that they are present if their presentation is requested by the supplier/provider.
In the event that the User makes an error in entering his/her personal data (name, surname, email, telephone number, date of birth, identity document, etc.), or that of the travel participants, HIVE declines all responsibility for the failure or incorrect execution of the trip due to the failure to receive travel documents or the refusal of service by the suppliers.
If the names entered during booking and purchase do not match those of the actual user at the entrance, if verified, access through the reserved entrance may be denied. In this case, the visitor will be able to freely access the Basilica through the regular entrance without a reservation but will not be entitled to any refund.
9. FORMALITIES
It is the User's responsibility to obtain the necessary and compliant documents for any security checks (identity card, passport).
10. MINORS
Starting June 26, 2012, all Italian minors will be able to travel only with an individual travel document. The new provisions require that Italian minors under 14 traveling abroad unaccompanied by a parent or legal guardian must carry a declaration of accompaniment containing the name of the person, organization, or transportation company to whom the minor is entrusted, signed by the person with parental authority over the minor, and endorsed by the authorities responsible for issuing the passport.
Minors can also benefit from the Visa Waiver Program (Visa Waiver Program), but only if they have their own passport; their registration on their parents' passports is neither sufficient nor valid.
If a minor under 14 is traveling with his or her parents (even just one), it is not necessary to attach the accompanying declaration to the minor's passport, as the personal details (also in English and French) of the living parents are listed on page 5 of the new 48-page passport booklet.
For legal, religious, social, or other reasons, at the request of a parent or by order of the Judicial Authority, personal data may be omitted or deleted.
For all accompanying persons other than parents who are authorized by them (consent declaration), there is no mandatory registration (e.g., grandparents) on the document. Therefore, whenever a minor under 14 travels abroad with a companion other than their parents, the parents will be required to sign the accompanying declaration. This declaration will be kept on file at the police headquarters, which will issue a unified form that the accompanying person will present at the border along with the minor's valid passport.
HIVE will never accept the registration of an unaccompanied minor, regardless of their nationality, and declines all responsibility if, despite the prohibition, an unaccompanied minor is registered for a trip without their knowledge.
Minors accompanied by a parent must have a travel authorization if they do not have the same surname as the accompanying parent.
In any case, it is the User's responsibility to check the documentation required for minors to enter the destination country on the government website http://www.viaggiaresicuri.it, given the recent introduction of stricter procedures in some countries. HIVE will not be liable for any irregularities related to the required travel documentation.
11. CONTRACT FOR THE SALE OF BOOKING SERVICES AND TICKETS
Services that can be purchased on the Site include, for example, tickets for access to the areas of historical and cultural interest of St. Peter's Basilica, and reservations for access to the Basilica with a digital audio guide.
Before purchasing, HIVE recommends that the User carefully read the description of the services, the method by which they are performed, and review the possible options that may determine a change in the purchase price compared to the price displayed as a search result. Age, weight, and height restrictions may apply. Some services/activities are subject to a minimum number of participants. If the minimum number is not reached, the service provider reserves the right to notify the User or HIVE shortly before the scheduled date, who will then inform the User. In these cases, the provider may not always offer an alternative date or activity. The prices of activities or tickets may differ from the nominal prices shown on the ticket.

• The Basilica: reservation of access to St. Peter's Basilica + digital audio guide
• The Dome (with or without elevator): ticket for entry to the Dome of St. Peter's Basilica + Reservation for access to St. Peter's Basilica – 60 minutes before the entry time to the Dome + digital audio guide of St. Peter's Basilica;
• The Treasury Museum: ticket for entry to the Treasury Museum of St. Peter's Basilica + Reservation for access to St. Peter's Basilica – 60 minutes before the entrance time to the Museum + digital audio guide of St. Peter's Basilica;
• The Necropolis: ticket for entry to the Necropolis (the visit includes access in groups with a guide provided by St. Peter's Basilica + Reservation for access to St. Peter's Basilica – 60 minutes before the entry time to the Necropolis + digital audio guide of St. Peter's Basilica;
• Petros ENI: ticket for entry to the multimedia exhibition (the visit includes access in groups of up to 14 people and accompanied by Fabbrica San Pietro staff) provided by St. Peter's Basilica + Reservation for access to St. Peter's Basilica – 60 minutes before the entry time to Petros Eni + digital audio guide of St. Peter's Basilica;
• Guided Tours: ticket for entry to the Basilica with a guide (the visit includes access in groups of up to 30 people with a guide provided by St. Peter's Basilica + Reservation for access to St. Peter's Basilica) – 60 minutes before the start time of the visit.
• Any other products/services.
Customer Service (also referred to as Visitor Assistance or Need Help?) is available for any clarification or further information regarding the correspondence between the commercial names of the search engines present online on the e-commerce Platform and their functionality as booking engines. The search engines that can be used by the User are those actually published on the Site at the time of checking the availability of services and the related quote. HIVE reserves the right to activate or remove the search engines that can be used according to its commercial policies, without prejudice to the commitments and practices already confirmed by the User.
• BASILICA
Users who decide to book entry to St. Peter's Basilica with a digital audio guide will be able to choose the day and time of entry to St. Peter's Basilica, where they can follow the digital audio guide, which allows them to follow thematic itineraries with content of historical and cultural interest.
In particular, the audio guide consists of a digital web application (so-called web app) that allows the User to listen to audio tracks organized into thematic itineraries with content of historical, artistic, cultural, and tourist interest.
Audio guides are translated into various languages: refer to the information on the product description sheet for the selected product for the list of available languages.
Immediately after booking you will receive email no. 1 with the service confirmation VOUCHER.
You will then receive email #2 with QR codes for all participants, which must be shown during entry checks. Access QR codes are mandatory. If you don't receive this email within 30 minutes of booking (check your spam folder), please email booking@basilicasanpietro.va, providing your TIE- xxxx reference number.
Within 30 minutes before your booked visit time, you will receive email no. 3 with the QR codes/links to activate and use the Digital Audio Guide.
The web app can be downloaded (recommended to avoid on-site connection problems) or used with a direct internet connection via GSM or Wi-Fi.
Each link/QR code is unique and personal and therefore cannot be used by multiple users simultaneously. Each code is valid for 48 hours from the time the email containing the link/QR code is sent.
Each User must have their own mobile phone or tablet to which they can connect wireless or wired earphones for personal use that is respectful of the places and other visitors.
If you encounter any problems or don't receive the email in time, you can contact customer service for assistance and log in. You'll receive a new link via email. However, you'll be asked for your booking confirmation code.
Due to the Holy See's celebrations and institutional events, including during the Jubilee, please note that access to St. Peter's Basilica may be cancelled even before midnight. If, for organizational reasons related to the aforementioned needs, access is cancelled, the cost incurred will be fully refunded.
Details and conditions
• ACCESS TICKETS and BOOKING SERVICES
For all tickets and services and, in particular, for tickets for access to the areas of historical and cultural interest of St. Peter's Basilica (Dome, Necropolis, etc.), the instructions and specifications reported in the product presentation sheet on the website and in the voucher apply.
Tickets and booking services are non-cancellable, non-changeable and non-refundable.
Please pay particular attention to the entry times, the advice regarding access times (security checks and movement to the area to be visited), the dress code and the behavior to be observed.
Tickets are valid only for the booked time slot: please pay attention to the validity of the indicated QR Code.
Entry more than 60 minutes late may be denied due to unavailability of maximum capacity during the time slot.
When choosing tickets, you will be shown prices that vary by age group. If reduced-price tickets are available (children, seniors, etc.), these options will be visible during the purchase process. The site does not offer free tickets, discounts, or reductions for other categories, such as clergy/priests, schools, seminarian groups, groups of pilgrims accompanied by priests, or disabled visitors with certified disabilities. For these categories, please contact the St. Peter's Basilica ticket office on site or contact the Visitors' Office at visiteguidate@fsp.va.
For information on ticket inclusions and exclusions, opening and closing times, access and services for disabled visitors and pregnant women, minimum age requirements for children, any discounts, and any other operational details, please refer to the information on the online product page and, if necessary, contact customer service for assistance.
Due to the needs of the celebrations, particularly during the Jubilee, please note that access to St. Peter's Basilica and its associated areas (Dome, Necropolis, Treasury Museum) may be cancelled up to 24 hours prior to your booked entry time. Those who have purchased tickets for the Dome, Necropolis, or Treasury Museum, or who have booked access to the Basilica with a digital audio guide, are advised to check the email inbox they used to complete their purchase for any cancellation notices (please also always check your spam folder). If, for reasons related to the Jubilee organization, the above occurs and access is cancelled, the cost of tickets and reservations will be fully refunded. This also applies if a Wednesday Papal Audience extends beyond its scheduled time.
For tickets for other museums and/or cultural events, the instructions and specifications provided in the product description on the website and in the voucher apply. Please pay particular attention to entry times, recommendations regarding access times (security checks and movement to the area to be visited), and dress and behavior codes.

12. RESPONSIBILITY
HIVE will not be liable in any way for failure or incorrect performance of a service attributable to the User, to a cause of force majeure, to an unforeseeable event, or to a third party unrelated to the provision of the services provided for in the contract.
HIVE's liability is, however, limited to the services purchased from HIVE, excluding all services purchased from third parties.
Compensation for any damages owed by HIVE is governed by the Civil Code, the Tourism Code, and by international conventions where applicable.
For all services intermediated by HIVE, responsibility for their correct provision lies solely with the actual suppliers/providers.
If HIVE is the intermediary of the service, it is not liable for the obligations arising from the organization of the service, but is exclusively responsible for the obligations arising from its capacity as intermediary.
13. CANCELLATION AND MODIFICATION
No changes or cancellations are permitted for reservations for access to the Basilica, guided tours of St. Peter's Basilica, tickets that provide entry to the Basilica's historical and cultural sites managed by Fabbrica di San Pietro, such as the Dome, Necropolis, Treasury Museum, Terraces, Grottoes, etc., and all types of digital audio guides, as these are non-refundable/non-changeable services. Any other product or service on the Site cannot be modified or cancelled. In the event of cancellation, modification, or cancellation, the User will lose the full amount of the service purchased.
For any information, you can contact Customer Service (also referred to as Visitor Assistance or Need Help?) during the business days and hours available on the Site. All requests will be handled during HIVE's business days and hours. Handling requests does not automatically grant changes by the supplier or grant them free of charge.
In case of cancellation and/or modification, penalties will always be applied and, therefore, the User will lose the entire amount of the service purchased with the aforementioned rate.
In the event that the User is informed directly by HIVE regarding the non-provision or modification of one or more services, he or she may contact and receive assistance from the Customer Service (also referred to as Visitor Assistance or Need Help?) during HIVE's working days and hours or by the Emergency Service during HIVE's non-working days and hours.
14. NAME CHANGE
Please note that name changes are not permitted for reservations for access to the Basilica, guided tours of St. Peter's Basilica, tickets for visits to the Basilica's historical and cultural sites managed by the Fabbrica di San Pietro, such as the Dome, Necropolis, Treasury Museum, Terraces, Grottoes, etc., and all types of digital audio guides, as these services are non-refundable and non-changeable. In the event of cancellation, modification, or cancellation, the User will lose the full amount of the service purchased.
Date changes can never be considered simple contract variations as described above, but will be treated as cancellations. A reduction in the number of passengers in a booking is considered a cancellation by one of the participants and is always governed by Article 13 above.
15. WITHDRAWAL
Pursuant to Article 59, paragraph 1, letter n) of Legislative Decree 206/2005 (Consumer Code), the right of withdrawal for distance contracts does not apply to contracts for the provision of services, such as, for example, tickets for access to St. Peter's Basilica and the access reservation service, where the contract provides for a specific date or period of performance and requires the name of the customer.
Consequently, the user acknowledges and accepts that, once the booking of a Service has been confirmed through the Site, he/she will not have the right to withdraw from the purchase itself.
In the event of unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances occurring at the destination or in its immediate vicinity and which have a material impact on the performance of the package tour or on the transport of passengers to the destination (e.g. earthquakes, natural disasters, acts of terrorism), the User has the right to withdraw from the contract, before the start of the package, without paying any withdrawal fees, and to a full refund of payments made for the package, but is not entitled to additional compensation.
Different conditions may be applicable at the time of booking and will be brought to the User's attention before completing the purchase.
ST. PETER'S BASILICA
With reference to reservations for access to the Basilica, reservations for guided tours of St. Peter's Basilica, or tickets that constitute the entrance ticket for visits to the historical and cultural sites of the Basilica managed by Fabbrica di San Pietro such as the Dome, Necropolis, Treasury Museum, Terraces, Grottoes, etc., since these are services with a non-refundable/non-modifiable rate, in the event of withdrawal, and/or cancellation and/or modification the User will lose the entire amount of the service purchased.
Given the Basilica's unique status as both a place of worship and art/culture, yet located within the Vatican City, in the event of specific requests due to religious or state needs, all reservations for access to the Basilica, guided tours of St. Peter's Basilica, tickets for visits to the Basilica's historical and cultural sites managed by Fabbrica di San Pietro (Dome, Necropolis), and associated digital audio guides may be cancelled. In this case, users will be notified by email of the cancellation of the vouchers received with 24 hours' notice and will be fully refunded the amount paid for the individual services, usually cancelled within 30 days of notification. Date changes are not permitted: the user may simply proceed with a new booking and payment according to the rates and availability shown on the platform.
For all matters relating to tickets for admission to the areas of historical and cultural interest of St. Peter's Basilica, it will not be possible to make any changes to the names indicated at the time of purchase.
In this regard Yes highlights That accepting the present conditions , the user is fully aware That if there is no match between the nominative indicated during the purchase phase on the admission tickets and identity of the user will not be allowed access , nor is it will have right to any reimbursement .
It won't be equally allowed the entrance if come used improperly and fraudulently rates reduced (by title exemplified and not exhaustive : rates reduced rates for minors ) or rates special ( such as exemplary and not exhaustive rates reserved for groups Parish / Ecclesiastical ). The use improper tariffs reduced rates and tariffs specials reserved for specific purposes categories will not give right to any type of refund .
16. ASSISTANCE
HIVE provides assistance through its Customer Service (also referred to as Visitor Assistance or Need Help?) to visitors and Users registered on the platform on the days and at the times specified on the Site.
The User is provided with an emergency telephone number or the details of a contact point through which to reach the supplier/provider, on non-working days and at non-working times for HIVE, in the event of possible problems strictly connected to services. confirmed by HIVE.
17. COMPLAINT
Any complaint regarding non-performance or incorrect performance of the contract must be reported by the User, in compliance with the obligations of fairness and good faith pursuant to Articles 1175 and 1375 of the Italian Civil Code, within 24 hours of the start date of the service provision, to the organizer of the package by email to complaint@basilcasanpietro.va, so that the organizer/provider of the service can promptly remedy the situation unless this is impossible or would incur disproportionate costs considering the significance of the non-compliance and the value of the travel services affected.
Contracts for the provision of individual services cannot be considered as travel arrangements or package tours. Therefore, they do not enjoy the protections provided by the Tourism Code. The contractual conditions of the individual supplier or the actual provider of the service will apply.
To resolve disputes, the parties will have the opportunity to submit a complaint on the website (https://www.camera-arbitrale.it/it/mediazione/mediazione-civile-e-commerciale-d-lgs-28-2010.php?id=372).
18. APPLICABLE LAW AND JURISDICTION
These General Terms and Conditions and the relationship between the User and HIVE are governed by Italian law, including, where applicable, the Tourism Code and Legislative Decree no. 206 of 6 September 2005, containing the Consumer Code, for the part relating to distance contracts. These Terms and Conditions are drafted in Italian, which will be used as a reference in the event of possible discrepancies in translations into other languages. Contracts concluded on the HIVE Website are deemed to have been concluded in Italy and governed by Italian law, without prejudice to any additional rights of Consumers under mandatory provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms and conditions shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of the district of the Court of Appeal of Milan, without prejudice to any rights of Consumers under mandatory provisions.
For non-EU Users, the contract, as well as any relationships arising therefrom, that may be entered into between the User and HIVE through the Site will be governed by the laws of the Republic of Italy. By express will of both parties, any dispute that may arise between the parties in any way connected to the contract and/or in any way relating to its interpretation and/or execution and/or validity and/or effectiveness will be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Italian judge with exclusive territorial jurisdiction of the Court of Milan, with any different rules of jurisdiction and jurisdiction being mutually waived and any alternative and/or competing jurisdiction being excluded.
The User expressly acknowledges and agrees that access to the Site by users residing in countries other than Italy and the Vatican City is considered unsolicited and unintentional. The Company assumes no responsibility for access by foreign users, nor for compliance with the regulatory requirements of such users' countries of residence. Pursuant to Regulation (EC) No. 593/2008 (Rome I Regulation), the possible application of foreign regulations is excluded to the extent permitted by law.
19. MANDATORY COMMUNICATION PURSUANT TO ARTICLE 17 OF LAW NO. 38/2006
Pursuant to Article 17 of Law No. 38/2006, Italian law punishes crimes related to prostitution and child pornography with imprisonment, even if committed abroad.
