During this morning’s General Audience on April 8, Pope Leo XIV renewed his invitation to all the faithful to join him in a moment of prayer for peace, to be held in St. Peter’s Basilica on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 6:00 PM.
This was reported in a statement by the Holy See Press Office, following the announcement already made by the Pontiff on Easter morning during the traditional Urbi et Orbi message.
The initiative is part of the ongoing appeals for peace that have accompanied the Easter celebrations, marked by a strong call to the responsibility of peoples and the rejection of violence.
The vigil, presided over by the Pontiff, will be open to all the faithful as a shared moment of prayer to invoke the gift of peace.
