From 16 to 18 June, in Piazza Santa Marta, Vatican City, “Peter and Paul in Rome” will be performed: a play written by Michele La Ginestra, with original music by Emanuele Friello and directed by Roberto Marafante.
On stage, alongside Michele La Ginestra and Fabio Ferrari, will be Ilaria Nestovito, Matteo Montalto, Brunella Platania and Fabrizia Scaccia.
The performance offers a theatrical narrative dedicated to the figures of Saints Peter and Paul, ideally bringing them back to the streets of Rome, the city where the two apostles lived the final years of their mission and from which the Christian message spread throughout the world.
Through an accessible, intense language, while also allowing moments of lightness, “Peter and Paul in Rome” invites the audience to rediscover the humanity, faith and spiritual strength of the two apostles, in a dialogue that brings together memory, the present day and theatre.
The performances will begin at 8:30 p.m. Entry will be permitted through the Perugino Gate, in Via della Stazione Vaticana, from 7:30 p.m.
To attend, it is necessary to reserve a seat through the dedicated Eventbrite link.
