On the occasion of the 21st edition of the Rome Science Festival, taking place from 15 to 19 April 2026 at the Auditorium Parco della Musica Ennio Morricone, the School of Arts and Crafts of the Fabbrica di San Pietro in the Vatican is participating with two workshops dedicated to Roman stucco and mosaic.
The workshops will present artisanal techniques and processes rooted in the tradition of the Fabbrica di San Pietro, offering students direct contact with craft practices that the School of Arts and Crafts preserves and transmits.
Through live demonstrations, visitors will be able to closely observe materials, tools and working phases, grasping the continuity between training and practical activity within the Fabbrica.
The initiative is part of the Festival programme, contributing to the dialogue between science, art and technical knowledge, and reaffirming the commitment of the Fabbrica di San Pietro as a vehicle for the transmission and preservation of artisanal skills at risk of disappearing.
