The third meeting for the 400th anniversary of the Dedication of St. Peter's Basilica will be held on October 13th.

On Tuesday, 13 October 2026, at 7:00 p.m., the third meeting in the series of events promoted to mark the 400th anniversary of the Dedication of St Peter’s Basilica (1626–2026) will take place at the Altar of the Chair in St Peter’s Basilica.

Dedicated to the pastoral and spiritual dimension, the event will offer a reflection on the identity and mission of the Basilica from three perspectives: the experience of pilgrimage to the tomb of the Apostle Peter, the universal role of St Peter’s Basilica and the Church, and the pastoral vocation of St Peter’s Basilica.

The speakers will be Caterina Bruno, with a presentation entitled The Experience and Meaning of Pilgrimage to the Tomb of the Apostle Peter; Vito Mignozzi, who will explore The Universal Role of St Peter’s Basilica and the Church; and Andrea Lonardo, with a presentation entitled The Pastoral Vocation of St Peter’s Basilica.

The presentations will be accompanied by musical interludes performed by the Cappella Musicale Giulia, highlighting the connection between faith, art and spirituality in the tradition of the Basilica.
