On Tuesday, November 18, at 7:00 p.m., the Papal Basilica of Saint Peter in the Vatican will host the meeting entitled “Vanity of Vanities.”
Guest of the evening will be the italian singer Noemi, who will offer her concluding reflections following the spiritual meditation by Fr. Francesco Occhetta S.J., Secretary General of Fondazione Fratelli tutti, and the lectio by H. Em. Card. Gianfranco Ravasi, Founder of Cortile dei Gentili.
The theme of the evening will be vanity. Readings will be performed by actress Nancy Brilli.
To participate, registration at this link is required.
The cycle Lectio Petri – Il Qohelet, la Crisi is promoted by Cortile dei Gentili and Fondazione Fratelli tutti to explore – with a gaze turned toward the present – the pages of the Book of Qohelet.
Leading figures from the worlds of culture, entertainment, media, and institutions engage in dialogue with Cardinal Ravasi, offering a secular and contemporary perspective on the themes emerging from the readings.
The evenings are enriched by moments of musical meditation, inviting reflection and inner listening.
The second edition of the initiative gave rise to the “Lectio Petri” podcast series, available in several episodes – listen here.
The third cycle featured guests such as Silvia Avallone (writer), Massimo Gramellini (journalist), Speranza Scappucci (orchestra conductor and pianist), and Umberto Galimberti (philosopher, essayist, and writer) – watch the full videos.
