On Saturday, May 2, at 4:00 PM, a new Spiritual Elevation will take place at the Altar of the Chair in St. Peter's Basilica, a moment of contemplation entrusted to sacred music.

This initiative is part of the Basilica’s program aimed at offering the faithful and visitors a time for inner recollection, where art and liturgy meet through the universal language of music. For approximately thirty minutes, the monumental space of the Vatican apse will be filled with a musical journey designed to accompany silence and meditation at the heart of the visit.

The musical program spans centuries of ecclesiastical tradition, from Gregorian chant to polyphony, featuring compositions by Domenico Bartolucci, Josef Rheinberger, Giuseppe Ottavio Pitoni, Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina and Lorenzo Perosi, offering a soundscape that unites different eras and sensibilities in the sign of faith.

Admission is free, subject to availability.
