"Spiritual Elevation” in St Peter’s Basilica

A moment of profound contemplation and artistic beauty. “Spiritual Elevation” is the title of the event scheduled for Sunday, 14 September, at 3:00 p.m. in the Papal Basilica of St. Peter in the Vatican.

A thirty-minute musical experience of polyphonic singing dedicated to the mystery of the Holy Cross of the Lord.

The compositions of Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, the foremost master of Renaissance sacred polyphony, will be performed by the Cappella Giulia, the official choir of the Vatican Basilica.

The encounter will be conducted by Maestro Fabio Avolio, Deputy Director of the Cappella Giulia of St Peter’s Basilica.
