Video mapping

From 2 to 16 October, the façade of Saint Peter’s Basilica narrated the life of the Apostle Peter through video. Once the lights were turned off, the video-mapping projection “Follow me. The Life of Peter” narrated the story of the Fisherman of Galilee through a combination of art, technology and three-dimensional effects. The multimedia project marked the inauguration, in an artistic key, of a cultural and spiritual journey, of a pastoral itinerary accompanying the visit to the Basilica and the pilgrimage to the Tomb of Peter.

The video-mapping narrative retraced the human and spiritual story of the holy Fisherman. “In the time of the solitude of the ego, the life of Peter is an experience to be immersed in, to search for a You, without which the I cannot live”, said Cardinal Mauro Gambetti, Archpriest of Saint Peter’s Basilica and Vicar General of His Holiness for Vatican City State.
