From June 16th to 18th, the performance "Peter and Paul in Rome" took place in Piazza Santa Marta, organized by the Fabbrica di San Pietro as part of the celebrations for the 400th anniversary of the Dedication of St. Peter's Basilica (1626-2026).

Written by Michele La Ginestra, directed by Roberto Marafante, and with original music by Emanuele Friello, the performance offered a theatrical narrative dedicated to the figures of Saints Peter and Paul, ideally set in the streets of Rome, the city of the final years of their mission and martyrdom.

Alongside Michele La Ginestra and Fabio Ferrari, Ilaria Nestovito, Matteo Montalto, Brunella Platania, and Fabrizia Scaccia also took the stage, creating a narrative capable of alternating intensity, lightheartedness, and spiritual reflection.

Through the dialogue between the two apostles, the performance invited us to revisit two lives marked by fragility, conversion, courage, and the proclamation of the Gospel. Peter and Paul thus emerge not only as pillars of the Church, but as men traversed by doubts, failures, and new beginnings, witnesses to the power of their encounter with Christ.

The video dedicated to the performance captures moments from the three evenings and allows us to retrace the atmosphere of an initiative that, on the path to the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, intertwined theater, memory, and spirituality in the heart of the Vatican.
