Saturday, 6 June: Spiritual Uplift in the Basilica

On Saturday, 6 June, a new Spiritual Uplift will take place in St Peter’s Basilica, performed by the Cappella Musicale Giulia.

The programme will offer a musical journey through selected works from the sacred repertoire: from O sacrum convivium by Giovanni Croce to Ave verum by Edward Elgar, from Ave Maria dolcissima by Domenico Bartolucci to Tu es Petrus by Lorenzo Perosi, concluding with Cantate Domino by Théodore Dubois.

The Spiritual Elevation will be a moment of listening and reflection, in which sacred music will lead those present towards contemplation and prayer, within the setting of the Vatican Basilica.
