A new Spiritual Uplift on Saturday, May 23: Sacred Music and Meditation in the Basilica

The Spiritual Uplift promoted as part of the initiatives for the Fourth Centenary of the Dedication of St. Peter's Basilica continue in St. Peter's Basilica.

The event on Saturday, May 23, at 4:00 PM at the Altar of the Chair, on the Vigil of Pentecost, will be led by the Cappella Musicale Giulia with a performance of the Gregorian sequence "Veni, Sancte Spiritus", followed by "Confirma hoc Deus" by Domenico Bartolucci, "Factus est repente" by Jacob Aichinger (preceded by the Gregorian antiphon), "Tu es Petrus" by Lorenzo Perosi, "Regina caeli" by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, and "Jubilate Deo" by Renzo Renzi.

The initiative is part of the spiritual and cultural journey promoted by the Vatican Basilica, highlighting the heritage of sacred music in the liturgical season leading up to the solemnity of Pentecost.
