Saturday, 30 May: Spiritual Elevation in the Basilica

On Saturday, 30 May 2026, at 4:00 p.m., on the occasion of the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity, a spiritual uplift animated by the Cappella Musicale Giulia of the Vatican Basilica will take place in the Basilica.

The musical programme will accompany those present on a journey linked to the liturgical and choral tradition, with pieces also performed with the support of the organ. The elevation will open with Benedicta sit Sancta Trinitas, the Introit for the Most Holy Trinity, followed by Confirma hoc Deus by Domenico Bartolucci, the Offertory for Pentecost.

Also to be performed are Tu es Petrus by Lorenzo Perosi, Regina caeli by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestrina, Jubilate Deo by Renzi, with organ, and Cantate Domino by Théodore Dubois, also with organ accompaniment.

The initiative will offer the faithful and visitors an opportunity to experience, through the beauty of sacred music, a time of spiritual recollection in the heart of St Peter’s Basilica.
