On Saturday, 6 June, at 9:00 p.m., the Via Petri aux flambeaux will take place in St Peter’s Square: an itinerary of prayer and meditation dedicated to the life and witness of the Apostle Peter.

The route, structured in twelve Stations following the model of the Way of the Cross, will include biblical readings, meditations and moments of prayer, retracing the human and spiritual journey of the first of the Apostles: from his call to follow Christ to the witness he gave in Rome.

The Via Petri aux flambeaux invites the faithful, pilgrims and visitors to experience a moment of reflection in the heart of the square that bears Peter’s name, guided by the light of the torches and by the living memory of his faith.

The initiative is part of the effort to enhance the Petrine places and the spirituality linked to the Vatican Basilica, offering an opportunity to rediscover the figure of the Apostle as a point of reference for the life of the Church and for the personal journey of every believer.

The meditations will be prepared by the Chapter of St Peter, while the logistical organization is entrusted to the Fabric of St Peter.

The appointment is for Saturday, 6 June, at 9:00 p.m. in St Peter’s Square.
