Yesterday evening, under the Bernini Colonnade, the Parish of St Peter's and the Dicastery for Charity organised a shared dinner with 150 homeless people living near the Basilica, on the occasion of the inauguration of the Greccio Crib and the lighting of the Maira Valley tree in St Peter's Square.
A moment full of joy, music and some gifts for the guests, prepared and offered by the parishioners with the support of the Governorate of the Vatican City State. This was one of the social initiatives presented last Tuesday, 5 December, by the Archpriest of the Vatican Basilica, H.Em. Card. Mauro Gambetti, with which the Basilica is preparing to experience the Jubilee.
