Winner of the International Via Crucis Competition announced

The International Competition launched by the Fabbrica di San Pietro last December has come to an end. The competition aimed to create a unique artistic representation in painting—a Via Crucis in fourteen stations—intended for temporary exhibitions in St. Peter's Basilica in the Vatican. Over a thousand applications were received from eighty countries around the world, with significant female participation close to 45%.
